Our friends Bob and Bobbie drove us to the Phoenix airport with a stop at Panera Bread for breakfast. We visited at airport security where we were entertained by the working dogs sniffing people and their carry ons. We wanted to see what they would do if they caught someone. It didn't happen. Entertainment over! Time to board.
Security was not a problem for Rose-Marie. Bob waited quite a few minutes to get his pouch back. It was pulled aside because of his Swiss Army Knife (SAK). He was escorted to the Information desk to mail it to our friends. This meant he had to go through security again. The lineup was much longer the second time around. Note to self: put SAK in checked luggage!
We landed in Miami approximately 30 minutes early. $30 taxi ride to Holiday Inn Port of Miami. Our room overlooks the Harbour and the marketplace. Nice view. There are 2 cruise ships at the Terminal. After a short rest, we walked over to the marketplace where we checked out the restaurants and shops.
Tomorrow we geocache and explore more Miami.
